CHESAPEAKE, VA - LTD Management Company, L.L.C., a hotel management and development company headquartered in Chesapeake, VA, received the Marriott Spirit to Serve Award and Partnership Circle Award during the Marriott Owners Conference in California at the beginning of the month. Approximately 400 of the most reputable management companies in the lodging industry attended the conference.

The Spirit to Serve Award recognizes a company’s consistent and proactive efforts to give back to the local community. Since its inception approximately in 2006, the community affairs department at LTD has made tremendous strides in identifying opportunities for volunteering and enabling all fellow associates to participate in a number of activities including donating blood, joining marathon walks and volunteering at shelters and food banks. Marion Sawyer, LTD’s Community Affairs Manager and long-time associate, laid the foundation for the department and set a high standard for corporate giving. The department has raised over $500,000 in goods and services as of third quarter 2007.

The Partnership Circle Award represents Marriott’s highest honor, recognizing a company’s ability to uphold Marriott’s standards of excellence in consistently delivering value to its guests in its array of lodging products. The specific criteria that a company must achieve to receive the award includes the operation of all Marriott select service brands, an overall portfolio Guest Satisfaction Scores of 82.0 or greater though June 2007, and a set minimum of Marriott branded products in its development pipeline.
